Pret Launches Coffee Subscription Service

As workers are encouraged to return to the office, Pret a Manger has launched a new in-store drink subscription that may make those commutes a little more appealing.

Pret a Manger has launched a new subscription service today, YourPret Barista, allowing customers to enjoy copious amounts of coffee, tea, frappes, hot chocolate and more, for just £20 a month.

Allowing users to order up to five drinks a day, seven days a week, the menu includes a whole host of favourites including hot and cold drink options, plus any milk alternatives, syrups and extra coffee shots.

Customers will be given a unique QR code when they sign up which they’ll have to scan via their phone to receive their drinks. Best of all, the first month is completely free for new users.

During the pandemic, Pret a Manger has had a tough time, with low footfall forcing the company to cut around 3,000 jobs. The new subscription service, with a low £20 price tag, is hoping to encourage customers into city centres and back onto high streets, which remain relatively quiet as many employees continue to work from home.

Users of the subscription service are only able to order one drink every 30 minutes, and up to a maximum of five per day, to ensure the service isn’t misused. Customers must also check which drinks are included, as the odd choice is exempt, such as the Raspberry, Mango & Ginger Smoothie.
