Bluedot has unveiled the line-up for the three-day virtual festival, following the postponement of this year’s event at Jodrell Bank.
A Weekend In Outer Space promises to bring together the fields of music, art, science and cosmic culture as part of the free to view event. Organisers hopes to raise money for Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre and offer an alternative for those who were planning to attend this year’s event.
Across the weekend viewers can enjoy headline performances from Elbow, Orbital, and Daniel Avery, as well as live science talks. On Saturday, Ann Druyan will speak with Professor Brian Cox and Robin Ince, in association with The Cosmic Shambles Network.
Since launching in 2016, Bluedot has been bringing together music, creativity and science and organisers promise its online version will be no different. This year’s festival has been pushed back until July 2021, with Bjork, Groove Armada and Metronomy the first names to be revealed for next year’s festival.
A Weekend In Outer Space will be broadcast live at aweekendinouterspace.com and across Bluedot’s Youtube and Facebook channels.
