World’s First Socially Distanced Festival Launches This Weekend

Gisburne Park Pop-Up is set to host its first Party in the Park event this Saturday.

Billed as the UK’s first purpose built, socially distanced outdoor festival, Gisburne Park-Pop Up will host an eight-week programme of music, entertainment, food, drink and boutique glamping, kicking off with Party in The Park, this Saturday.

Taking place at the idyllic Gisburne Park Estate, guests will be able to book individual hexagonal pitches, with each accommodating social bubbles of up to six people, spaced 2.6m apart. Each pitch includes outdoor furniture, complete with a parasol (for that unpredictable British weather).

Festival-style food and drinks are available to purchase on-site, served directly to your pitch – think British beef burgers, loaded fries, with plenty of choices for kids and vegetarian and vegan options available.

Some of the UK’s biggest names in dance music – including Jonas Blue, Shapeshifters and Sam Divine – have been announced to play the festival’s weekly ‘Party in the Park’ experience, alongside a programme of immersive movie nights, live entertainment and family-focussed events, all taking place until 30th August.

Dress up movie nights will also be taking place, including Grease, Dirty Dancing and Moulin Rouge, with family-friendly screenings of Dumbo, Frozen and Finding Nemo.

For guests wishing to make a weekend of it, on-site luxury five-metre wide bell tents are available to book. Each comes with electricity, an outdoor fire pit and access to on-site private showers.

“After a summer of cancelled events, we wanted to deliver a unique, safe experience for people to enjoy outdoors with the Gisburne Park Pop-Up Festival,” says events director Robyn Isherwood.

“There is something for everyone from socially-distanced raving to big name DJs, through to movie nights and family fun in the heart of the North West countryside.

“Our guests’ health and safety is our number one priority. We’ve ensured everyone can relax and enjoy the experience, safe in the knowledge that the strictest social distancing and hygiene measures are in place for all customers, staff and entertainers.”

Tickets to Gisburne Park Pop-Up events are available to purchase from https://www.gisburneparkpopup.com/. Prices start from £20 per hexagonal pitch, with ticketed events starting from £10 per adult and £5 per child. The festival is open with events Wednesday – Sunday every week from July 11th – August 30th.
