The Thriving Box Co is the new company helping independent businesses across the UK, with a particular focus on the hard hit hospitality industry.
Freelance marketing consultant, Robbie Allen, is keeping businesses going through lockdown with the launch of his gift box service. The gift boxes includes a range of products from small businesses in specific cities. What’s more, the content of the boxes are a surprise until you have them in your hands. The company has provided business owners with new options for distribution. Meaning they can keep earning even with their doors closed.
Allen saw his own work come to a standstill due to the pandemic and The Thriving Box Co was born. It launched in Edinburgh, his home town. In just a month the company has sold over 4,000 independent boxes, with products from businesses in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol and Manchester. The Thriving Box Co currently operates in four cities with 75 partners, and the numbers are growing. By mid May the firm had generated approximately £100,000 in revenue for the small businesses involved.
The gift boxes have a particular focus on the hospitality industry with local foods featuring prominently (you can specify if you would like your box to be alcohol free). The company handles all the logistics and e-commerce side. Strict health and safety measures match the Government’s advice.
